Equestrian Academy

Mission Statement

Inspiring students to achieve their potential and take responsiblity for their own learning and development in both riding and horse care, through positive learning experiences, effective coaching and mentoring.

About St Peter's Equestrian Park

The St Peter’s Equestrian Academy is a professionally run training programme, offering students the opportunity to achieve excellence in their chosen equestrian discipline.

The versatility of the programme enables students to choose options which best suit their needs, providing them with access to top quality coaching and facilities.  Success is proven, with many students achieving first-class performances in their specialist fields.

Just as importantly, the programme will endeavour to develop the students’ character through the core principles of dedication, goal setting, commitment, self-belief, tenacity, determination, courtesy and sportsmanship.  Students should not only leave the programme as better riders, but more balanced and better prepared human beings “for life”.

The Equestrian Riding Academy will operate either as a Summer Programme (Terms 1 and 4) or a Full Programme (Terms 1, 2 and 4).

Day and boarding students may participate in this programme and providing they meet the criteria, students keeping their horses off-site may also join.

Parenga Pony Club is based at St Peter’s. Riders are encouraged to participate in all associated activities.

Coaching Philosophy

  1. Encouraging students to accept the personal responsibility that comes with owning and riding a horse.
  2. Helping each student to realise their full worth and potential by maintaining high expectations.
  3. Enlisting experienced, successful coaches who are prepared to assist the students achieve their goals.

Please note that students do not automatically get into the Equestrian Programme - there is a selection process whereby students are interviewed to ascertain their suitability to join the programme.
